"Her Shadow, Her Light" Diptych
Acrylic and chalk pastel on raw canvas
Framed in Oak
72” x 48”
——
Description:
Her Shadow, Her Light explores the opposing yet intertwined forces women face within themselves—the masculine and the feminine, the dark and the light. This piece embodies the duality that exists with us.
The interplay of shadows and layering of color in these paintings represent the ever-shifting dance between strength and vulnerability, control and surrender. The deep, rich tones evoke the weight of expectation and the silent battles fought in the unseen spaces of our lives, while the light cuts through with resilience, wisdom, and self-discovery. This work is a reflection of the journey toward integration—the acceptance that both darkness and light are necessary to form wholeness. I invite viewers to reflect on their own dualities and the power found in honoring every facet of the self.
Was a part of the Women’s Art Week Parallels Show at Providencia WP in Downtown West Palm Beach
