Welcome to Terracotta House

For as long as I can remember, I have been driven by art. First by painting and playing in clay, then by the art of sound and performance. These days I am driven by the art of all things visual. You may ask what I mean by all things, and the truth is simply just that — all things seen by the eye can be viewed and executed in an artistic manner. Creating beautiful moments and sharing beautiful things has always been a love language of mine. To give this gift not only can leave an imprint, but it can inspire creativity in another. If you know me, you know that every moment in life deserves a little something special.

Now a little back story — I grew up surrounded by art and nature. Two things that are rooted in my soul and that have dictated who I have become. My early years were spent first in waldorf school, where art and nature were basically the curriculum. I then spent the rest of my years in art schools — from middle to high and on to university. I was surround by the arts and didn’t know anything different. I was allowed to get lost in my creativity and take risks, something every young person should be given. I now find myself many later having explored the countless layers of my creative self. Something every artist, if not every human understands. I find myself here, after a decade as a professional photographer, creative director and designer — I want to make a new home.

Terracotta House is just that. A place for me to share with you my art, my findings and my way of life. Inspired by a life of travel, trekking across deserts, mountain tops and foreign cities. A life filled with collaborations, with artisans and small companies I have worked with and believe in. A curation of handmade products I hope to share with you that are design driven and ethically made. A marketplace of homewares, botanical products and items that simply bring wellness to the mind and soul. A forever changing platform where I can continue to help inspire beauty in your life and mine.

I hope you become a part of this community. I want this to be a welcoming place for anyone who is looking for a little creativity and color in their lives. Please feel free to reach out and introduce yourself. If you want to collaborate, think your products would fit well in our marketplace or if you are simply here for inspiration. Either way, thank you for stopping by and hopefully something here will find it’s way into your heart or your home.
